It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!!

Christmas comes alive in the Great Smoky Mountains with the magic of Winterfest. From the jaw dropping light displays with over six million holiday lights, holiday entertainment, festive parades and everyone’s favorite....seasonal treats, the kickoff sets the stage for months of Christmas cheer!! The kickoff begins in Pigeon Forge on Thursday, November 6 from 3pm-5pm and the excitement and joy of Christmas lasts until February 15, 2026.

Start Winterfest in style by enjoying an afternoon filled with live music, delicious food trucks, and a heartfelt salute to veterans at Patriot Park. When evening arrives, the Winterfest lights will light up the night, followed by an unforgettable fireworks show that will tower over the night sky. This celebration also marks the opening of the Wonders of Light Christmas Village, which continues every weekend throughout November.

The Island in Pigeon Forge is also known for knowing how to kickoff Winterfest in style. The annual tree lighting event will be Saturday, November 22 at 5pm. The event will feature live music, visits with Santa, and the big moment when the 40 foot Christmas tree lights up the night.

Another must see is Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas which begins on November 1 and last through January 4. The park comes to life with live Christmas music, holiday shows and millions of lights. Be sure to check the Dollywood website for their daily schedule since operating times will vary.

Young and old alike can enjoy the Polar Express Train Ride at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad beginning November 6 and lasting through December 31. Once on board, enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story. The children’s eyes will be aglow when the train arrives at the North Pole to find Santa waiting. Santa will board The Polar Express and will greet each child and present them with a special gift, as told in the story, their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung on the journey back to the Bryson City Depot. It is highly recommended to purchase online tickets in advance as this is a popular attraction that quickly sells out.

And the icing on the cake....we already have our condo decorated for everyone to share in some Christmas cheer!!

It's not what's under the Christmas tree that matters, it's who is around it.
